Qmiles - FAQ


1. What is this program?

  • This program allows our customers to earn Qmiles based on their payment amounts to Qtel as long as they're currently Qatar Airways' Privilege Club member.

2. How can I register?

  • To register make sure that you call from your mobile or home phone number. Call 114 for free and then enter your ID number and then your Qatar Airways privilege club number.

3. What options are available on the 114?

  • Customer is given the option to listen to additional information on the program, register for the program or edit the registered Privilege Club number.

4. Who can apply for this program?

  • Only Individual Shahry, Pay Monthly customers can apply for this program. All registered services should be under the individual applicant name. Company accounts are not eligible for this program.

5. Is this program available for HALA customers?

  • No, the program is currently available to residential Shahry, Pay Monthly customers but it will be launched soon to Hala customers. However, Hala customers who wish to benefit, can transfer their service to Shahry. For further information about service transfer, please call 111.

6. Do I have to register every service in my accounts?

  • No, once you register from your mobile/landline number, all other services and accounts will be registered automatically against your privilege club number.

7. What if I entered a wrong privilege club number?

  • When you enter your privilege club number, the system will instantly repeat the number that was entered; if it's wrong you can press 2 to modify it.

8. How will I know that I've subscribed to the program?

  • Upon completion of the registration process, you will receive an SMS confirming that you've completed successfully the registration process.

9. What is the cost of this program?

  • It's for free

10. How are the Qmiles awarded?

  • The Qmiles awards depend on the monthly bill payment amounts made to Qtel as detailed below:

  1. Customer will earn 1 Qmile per QR 8 for payment amounts ranging between 200 and   500.

  2. Customer will earn 1 Qmile per QR 6 for payment amounts ranging between 501 and 1000.

  3. Customer will earn 1 Qmile per QR 4 for payment amounts ranging between 1001 and above.

11. How will the Qmiles be calculated if I made more than one payment during the month?

  • If you do so, then the awarded Qmiles will be calculated against the total amounts paid to Qtel during the month as stated in the below example:

    Payments in April:

    10th of April = QR200
    27th of April = QR2800

    How are April's Qmiles calculated:

    Total amounts paid in April: (QR200 + QR2800) = QR3000
    Qmiles awarded: (QR3000 / 4) = 750 (1 Qmile per QR4)

  • 12. If I changed my privilege club number how will the Qmiles accumulate?

  • Your Qmiles will continue to accumulate on the last Privilege Club number registered in the program.

  • 13. How will I be informed of my Qmiles balance?

  • Earned miles will be communicated periodically to members through their monthly bill and SMS.

  • 14. What if the Shahry, Pay Monthly number is not under my name?

  • The customer has to transfer ownership at any of Qtel's communication centers before registering.

  • 15. How safe and secure is it to subscribe to this program?

  • It's extremely safe and secure to subscribe to this program as you will be receiving a confirmation message during the course of the registration and at completion.

  • 16. What if the registration fails?

  • Customer will get an error message at the end of the call and he has to try again later.

  • 17. What if I terminated the number that I called from to register in this program?

  • If this happens, make sure to register again as your entire registration would have terminated including membership data. Moreover, if you terminate your phone service before the end of the month, you will be deprived from the accrued Qmiles.

  • 18.  What if I have more than a phone number and I amended my privilege club number using a different phone from the one used in my initial registration?

  • If you do so, then Qmiles accumulation will show on the bill of the number that was used to amend the Qatar Airways privilege club number.

  • 19. What should I do if I have any more inquiries?

    • If you have any further inquiries, please call 111.
